The management team of the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series is proud to announce the $125,000 “Winter Showdown” for Super Late Models at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, California, February 26 - 28, 2015. Damion Gardner Adds Silver Dollar Speedway

Taking the lead from Mike Spencer on lap sixteen, Concord’s “The Demon” Damion Gardner won the $2,750 Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car feature at Chico’s Silver Dollar Speedway. Gardner swept the third round of the “California Sprint Week,” by setting a new track record, winning his heat race, and claiming his eighth win of the campaign. Bud Kaeding, hard charger Colby Copeland, Brody Roa, and Kevin Thomas Jr. rounded out the top-five drivers.

Citgo Lubricants Late Model Special Event Added

Officials from Kern County Raceway Park have announced a special event for the NASCAR CITGO Lubricants Late Models to be held September 13th at the half-mile speedway. The Saturday Night Showdown will be a 50 lap non-points thriller paying $2000 to win and $300 to start. There will also be drawings for a $500 cash bonus and a set of tires to sweeten the pot.

Wordelman Finds Victory Lane at Rocky Mountain

Bryan Wordelman, a Maverik Modified and ASA National Champion, secured the main event win at Rocky Mountain Raceways on Saturday, September 6. Wordelman found his way to the lead by lap four of the 30-lap main. Eric Rhead quickly raced to the second position and set his sights on the top spot. Through a series of cautions, Wordelman held off the field and claimed his first Rocky Mountain Raceways’ trophy of the season.

Lady Luck smiled upon Joe Ramaker Saturday night at Gallatin Speedway's Gibson Guitar Big Sky Super Nationals as he took advantage of a very timely red flag and restart to make the race winning pass around Jeremy McCune to win the ASCS Frontier Region sprint car main event.
