MCMAHAN PREPARED TO LEAD TEAM

At the conclusion of the 2009 racing season, veteran driver Bobby McMahan of Elk Grove accomplished a missing accolade on his racing resume; a championship title at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. For McMahan the title meant far more then the trophy and the bragging rights, it was final achievement with veteran car owner and his dear friend Steve Harris by his side.

ONE-DAY SESSION HELPS TEAMS PREPARE FOR SPOILER

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams will assemble on Tuesday, March 16 for an important early-season test at Talladega Superspeedway. Approximately 24 teams are expected to participate in the one-day session, which will target a number of mechanical options in advance of the Aaron’s 499 on Sunday, April 25 at Talladega.

WILLOW SPRINGS KART CLUB READIES FOR ROUND 2

The second round of the Willow Springs Kart Club (WSKC) 2010 season is set for Sunday, March 14 at their home track on the grounds of the Willow Springs International Motorsports Park. WSKC - host of the 2010 International Kart Federation (IKF) 2-Cycle Grand Nationals - opened the year in February with the first round of the nine race club championship season. The first event also marked the start of the new five-race mini series Willow Springs Kart Club has put together to build momentum toward the IKF Grand Nationals with round two set for this weekend.

2ND ANNUAL COOL ON APRIL FOOLS CAR SHOW

The American Legion Post 684 will present their second annual Cool On April Fools Car Show April 3d, 9am to 5pm, in the parking lot of the post located at 641 West Inyokern Road in Ridgecrest-California. According to show director Dale Hilliard this event is open to all 1975 or older cars and trucks, street rods and customs. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Legion's many programs including the area of veteran's services.
