The NASCAR K & N Pro Series, West is starting its 2015 season at the high banked, state of the art speedway with a 150-lapper. Kern County Raceway will also host its top two NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Weekly racing divisions on the highly anticipated night. The NASCAR Late Models will compete in a 75 lap feature and the NASCAR Spec-Mods will battle it out for 50 laps in the first race of the year for the top two divisions at Kern County Raceway.

Logano Scores Dominant Win

Daytona 500 winner Joey Logano put on a dominating display at Phoenix International Raceway in Saturday’s Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter 200, the fourth race of 2015 in the NASCAR XFINITY series. The 24-year-old Connecticut native won the pole position earlier in the day and led 176 of the 200 laps before eventually scoring his second career win at PIR over Matt Kenseth. The victory was the 12th for car owner Roger Penske, who has eight wins with Indy cars and four with NASCAR stock cars at the oldest major paved oval race track west of the Mississippi River.

Austin Barnes started the afternoon as he has so many others, by setting the fast time in qualifying for the opening race of the season for the Lucas Oil Modified Series presented by LoanMart. He finished it with a victory in the E3 Spark Plugs Arizona 100 presented by GEICO after 88 laps of cat-and-mouse racing with Matthew Hicks on Havasu 95 Speedway’s challenging quarter-mile oval.\

Lucas Oil I 10 Speedway
The Lucas Oil I 10 Speedway will open its spectator gates this Saturday, March 7th, for the latest round of their 2014-2015 Winter Blast Racing Series, presented by Next Era Energy Resources. The spectator gates will open at 5pm followed by racing at 7pm. The quarter mile paved oval is located at the Colorado River Fairgrounds in beautiful Blythe-California.

Dylan Cappello did the final test on his new race car Saturday at Kern County Raceway Park and found out several things. The reigning Lucas Oil Modified Series champion confirmed that the Discount Tire/BILSTEIN Shocks/Sears Garage Doors STR Chevrolet is fast and photogenic and responds positively to changes, and he learned that he also can make it very wide when he’s trying to protect a lead.
