This past Saturday night All American Speedway hosted round six of the NASCAR Whelen All American Championship Series. The track featured the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks and Legends.

Fantastic List of Drivers for the Galloway 150

The 30-drivers that have committed to attend the Mark Galloway 150 Shootout presented by Central Welding Supply at Evergreen Speedway is remarkable. The best of the best are setting their sights on the $6000 to win with $600 for starting the 150-lap shootout on the BIG 5/8-mile oval on Saturday, May 25. Racing will commence at 6pm with spectator gates opening at 4pm. There is a Friday, May 24 evening practice for the Galloway 150 Shootout Super Late Models from 5pm until 9pm.

Magic Valley Speedway 5-18-13

This weekend at the Magic Valley Speedway the Intermountain Outlaw Modifieds made their first of 3 apppearances for the 2013 season. As expected it was another dominating performance for defending ASA Modified national champion Shelby Stroebel, as he led 35 laps in route to earning his second win of the season. The first caution of the night came on lap 6 when race leader Tim Elam spun out on the exit of turn four and collected the #98 of Rick Fowble. Initially it appeared as if Fowble had sustained damage to the right front of his car, however, he elected to stay on the track and not pit and ended up finishing in the third position.

Partial Night Of Racing Completed at Cottage Grove

On a day where race tracks seemed to lose the battle to weather left in right the Cottage Grove Speedway appeared to be one of the only tracks in the Northwest with a chance to get a full night of racing in. That was until the final laps of the IMCA Modified feature when a downpour would end the rest of the evening’s events. Classes that were in competition included Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

Eric Schmidt Tops in Pacific Challenge Series

Shasta Speedway held two nights of auto racing in conjunction with the annual Hot-Orama car show at the Shasta County Fairgrounds with six classes of race cars competing along with spectator drags and a burn-out contest. Eric Schmidt of Roseville was the big winner Saturday night in the super late models claiming his second consecutive victory in the Pacific Challenge Series.

Sunset Speedway Fan Appreciation Night Cancelled

Sunset Speedway Park has cancelled the May 18th Fan Appreciation Night event due to weather. Saturated grounds prevented any action taking place at the ¼-clay oval bullring. The race is expected to be rescheduled and will be announced at a later date. Saturday May 25th will be the next event of the 2013 season.
