Rising Star Kwasniewski Returns to Modifieds

Dylan Kwasniewski said early last year that of all the racing series he has competed in his favorite is the Lucas Oil Modified Series presented by LoanMart. When he said it Kwasniewski had just won the first series’ race of 2013 at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and in that situation saying nice things is expected.

Thorn Claims Richest Prize in SRL History

Derek Thorn’s history-making career in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour keeps growing, as he won a series record $15,003 prize in the recent Colorado 100 at Pikes Peak International Raceway. The dominating win around the one-mile oval outside Colorado Springs saw Thorn lead all 100 laps in Bryon Campbell’s Four Star Fruit #43.

Havasu 95 Speedway to Open Winter Racing Season

There's a lot of very happy racing fans in the area of Lake Havasu City-Arizona. That's because the winter racing season, at the Havasu 95 Speedway, officially opens this Saturday night, October 4th. The quarter mile paved oval is located within the Sara Park complex. The racing will receive the green flag at 7pm.

Celebrity Race Night @ Irwindale Speedway

Ten actors and a Canadian billionaire raced S2 Cars in a pair of ten-lap heat races and 20-lap feature on the half-mile Irwindale Speedway Saturday. Celebrity Race Night presented by Justice Brothers and DJ Safety benefited the Wounded Warriors Project®. Celebrities raced tube-framed, fiberglass-bodied NASCAR stock cars powered by 400-horsepower V-8 engines. MMA fighter/former UFC champion Tito Ortiz was the celebrity race grand marshal and honorary starter.

Rookie Points Leader Dominates Modified 100-Lapper

Dylan Cappello’s first win was memorable. His second was even better. The 18-year-old from Peoria, Arizona, said it was “awesome,” and that’s an accurate description. Cappello, a rookie in the Lucas Oil Modified Series presented by LoanMart, dominated the Next Era Energy 100 presented by Sunoco Fuel at Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway Saturday night (September 27) by leading 82 of 100 laps on the tight quarter-mile oval and never facing a challenge en route to his second victory in a row and a tighter hold on the Hoosier Tire West championship points lead with two races remaining.
