If they were smart their first call would be to the SRL and KN to schedule races. This would give them some much needed credibility .

If they were smart, they will keep Bob and Lester as far away from that track as possible!!!! Oh yeah, and bring in some unbiased officials who don't care what anyone thinks, just the rulebook!!

They should get the guy who ran Saugus to run it. That place was always packed. Then gets some rules that are not so dumb. To many spec this and spec that, just like IROC and that failed too. Let the teams build something like the old days instead of all the spec cars.

Well, sort of. Please review the posts under the thread "An Open Letter". Blow off the "open letter" and read Keith Lair's post dated 3/21/2012 on page 2; "Nu-way Indusrties back In Control Of Speedway". I think it's the best we can expect at this time as it will take time for the legal process to proceed. The statement about the degree of interest in the facility is extremely encouraging (though I am unsure that the track can be financially viable, especially without attendance averaging at least 3,500 per week). Also, it appears to indicate that the track's "history", in the form of data stored on servers, is at least present, if not intact.

I believe there will probably be drag racing soon, with perhaps an abbreviated oval season beginning in mid-summer (say, July).

We have no choice but to remain patient.

I like the idea, but it may be too late to get K&N. Perhaps they may be able to negotiate a deal with Speed for some sort of a version of a televised late model shootout in January, prior to NASCAR's Speedweeks version in February.

Same thing I posted right here under "From Pasadena Star News" a couple of days ago.

I'm sorry I missed it Bud. I miss seeing you and your wife at the track. You may remember me sitting a row or two beneath you for years at Irwindale before you retreated to the cover of the upper reaches of the grandstands. Two young children (and a third due in less than three weeks), poor car counts and unattractive racing slates conspired to limit my trips to the track in 2011.

We didn't retreat to the cover of the grandstands, we moved West - to Section 4 right over the start finish line! We were still sitting around row 26, but we got to see some amazing finishes from this vantage points. Hopefully, with the restructuring, the racing will resume to the early days and the fans will return with it.
