WE CARE! its not over and done, he ALWAYS drives like an idiot, and he knows it, HAS NOT learned from his mistakes yet! What makes you think he WILL! Do you have the bends, from coming up to fast or what?

Considering this is the first race of the year that I have heard comments on the 18 car other that how well he has done, who cares. I recall a lot of people making an ass out of themselves at the road course the first time they raced there. He has never road raced before and it takes practice to get better. Where is he sitting in points?? Hasn't he been fast everywhere?? Rookies make mistakes and John has come a long way since the days at Monroe.

Being the first time at road race doesn't excuse ANYBODY from mirror driving the leader down the front stretch.....

I did not say he would learn from his mistakes I said hopefully he will. I'm not a bender fan by any means, after he wrecked wilbur last year at yakima I figured he would have been is worse trouble already.
However he hasn't drove that poorly this season and he is fairly high in the point standings, and this opinion suject to change if I witness idiot driving.

I agree with you ratracer. I couldnt see very much of the track but I could see the frontstretch and at times it looked like Bender was racing Steve for the lead. Whats the point when he was 5 laps down? John knows better, yes it was his first time there, but he knows better not to race the leader when he is laps down.

"John has come a long way from his Monroe days".....I'm sorry - what races have you been watching? As far as I know, just about anyone is still leery of John being beside them whether it be they come up on him or vice versa. Ya better hold your breath until you're clear. Just my opinion....

OPEN your ears, clean out the wax, you should be up here in the grandstands and hear what everyone says. you must not attend to many races to have missed it all.

Bender hit everything but the pace car on Saturday and has done the same almost everywhere else. Don't be surprised to see Harding get him back after what he did at Tri-Cities. the Haug

Em, I never claimed uncle mark was great, but he would know to stay out of the leaders way if he was 5 laps down.

Yeah, like Harding has been one to talk this year....Every week its someone different. Go back and re-read the posts since the Tour started this year. After every race someone has been bashed about their driving. Nice to see the trend continue.

What I don't get about Bender is this...the guy can hardly get out of his own tire smoke at Yak and TCR during the mid-state series events and then during the tour races he runs up towards the front. What exactly is that saying?

Board I was in no way defending Hardings actions.I was just stating that he was gonna get Bender back. Good point about the Mid-State/Tour thing very interesting. the HAUG

Bender isn't exactly what I call "Tour" material. Heck, he won the Evergreen championship by a rain out. I've seen him race and he's all ego and no skill. That's not how a racing career is built. When it's all over he cries foul on the other guy. Well, I've been a tour fan for years and you ain't gonna fit in. You continue with your "idiot" driving and you're not gonna go anywhere but the wall. I've seen the Kearney name on this site, lets see him step up and validate your driver's "idiot" driving in Portland. I dare ya.....

Sorry John Z. my name wasn't meant to confuse anyone. Just wondering why the 18 team hasn't made any excuses for their racing skills.

There is no point in making excuses, for all you would do is tear us apart on anything that we had to say. All we tried to do was finish the race. Sorry if we got into anyone else and/or slowed anyone down. That was not the intent.

At least own up to the fact that the 18 car continues to make a name for himself because of his "idiot" driving. He new EXACTLY what he was doing in Portland, not to mention Tri Cities, and what about Yakima? He didn't just start racing yesterday. Have some accountability. That's the ONLY way he's gonna survive the tour.

How can anyone know "EXACTLY what he was doing" when they have never been to the facility let alone any road course and get a whole 12 laps of practice? Like I said what is the point?

So, mirror driving when you're laps down and racing cars like you're on the lead lap is good racing? When you're laps down and you screw with those who are on the lead lap, ultimately affecting their finish, how is that racing? I see it has pure "idiot" driving, whether you've been on the course or not. How do you explain Tri-cities and Yakima?
