No I don't think I've misunderstood -
I repeat - you are NOT down to everyone on the lead lap once the leader passes you - - To get your lap back - you only have to pass that car - not the whole lead lap field. At that point, you are not down to anyone else unless and until they pass you - If the race ended there, YES - you would finish behind all those lead lap cars - however, it ain't over til it's over, and as WE ALL KNOW, lots of things can and do happen before the checkered.
I, too, was at the pit meeting. I heard what they said. And for the record - there were many drivers who were down a lap that made deals and moved up to the high side so the faster cars could go by. We all agree there were a couple that did not. There were only 8 cars on the lead lap at the end of the race - yes, a few of them tangled with lapped traffic, but of those 8 cars (and a few more fast ones that DNF), how many tangled with each other?? I'll bet there were many more. FYI - heard the deal with the 69 & 82 over the radio.

I think you guys have purposely missed the point - and that is:
that the lapped cars did not take out the lead lap cars - -
the lead lap cars took out the lead lap cars.

Hey, there is always next year - unless you run the Idaho 200 - Yeah, the track is junk, but what do you think retxed, you guys up for it?

Good luck and best wishes for a safe race to any who dare to brave it - at least hope the lights stay on anyway.

Hey, isn't this fun!! Aw come on - you wouldn't be here readin the posts and puttin in yer two cents worth if it weren't.
