You pretty much wrapped it up with that statement. Should be an awesome show! I'm sure SCR's. show will be an 'okay' show. Maybe, just maybe if SCR management sees fit to not schedule over this event, it would be nice to see even a few more come and play. About the only thing the management at SCR has done wrong over the past couple of years.

What is the Schedule for Friday? Any idea on entries for the Street stocks and Mini stocks? I know that Jill Lang is returning to the Street stocks on Friday but does anyone know who else is expected?

We do the cone restarts so don't think that will change for the 5/8's but you never know.

Speedweek started today with Press Day. Many of the areas media went for rids in the 12 Richard Petty Driving Experience cars on the BIG track. the racing is just a few days away.

I sent an email yesterday asking about Fridays schedule, have yet to hear anything.
It's time to make our plans and it would be nice to know what time things are happening.

Summer Showdown Speedweek Schedule:

Tuesday June 26 – Richard Petty Driving Experience – Ride Along and Driver Training 9am -4pm

Wednesday June 27 – Richard Petty Driving Experience – Ride Along and Driver Training 9am -4pm

Thursday June 28 – Richard Petty Driving Experience – Ride Along and Driver Training 9am -4pm – Backgate opens for Summer Showdown Super Late Model practice at 4pm – Practice from 6pm – 9/10pm – Coors Light Fan Fest Free Entry – BBQ – Beer Garden – Live Music – Driver Meet and Greet - Richard Petty Driving Experience Ride Alongs – 6pm – 10pm.

Friday June 29 – Backgate opens at 9am – Tech opens at 10am – Practice begins at 12pm – Qualifying at 4 pm – Opening Ceremonies at 6pm followed by Time Trials for Summer Showdown and racing events.

Saturday June 30 – Backgate opens at 8am – Practice begins at 11am – Qualifying for Pro 4 Alliance Series and Pro 4 Truck Tour – Last Chance Qualifier Race for the Summer Showdown – Opening Ceremonies followed by racing for all with the 200-lap Summer Showdown ending the first annual Speedweek

The RPDE Tuesday Session Change:

The weather is supposed to clear up a little later this morning. The morning session has been moved to Wednesday and Thursday mornings. The afternoon session for Tuesday is still on as scheduled. If needed the session will be extended later into the evening.
