Sandia Speedway is excited to announce the 2011 Western States Championship for Unlimited Modifieds. The Western States Championship is the biggest asphalt modified race of the year at Sandia Speedway. 100 laps, $2000 to the winner; do not miss this event!!!
The Western States Championship will bring drivers from all over the region to challenge for the title and prize money. Charlie Daniels, Russ Harvey and Mario Truden Jr. are just a few of the SMS regulars that will battle drivers from the Colorado, Arizona, Texas, as well as this year’s SMS points leader Mike Hathaway and up and coming asphalt star Vanessa Robinson.
The 2011 Western States Championship will be Saturday October 15th and will feature the Unlimited Modifieds in a grueling 100 lap feature event as well as action from the Bandoleros, Cruisers, Legends and Factory 4’s.
Sandia Speedway is a multiple use racing facility located near Albuquerque, New Mexico. The complex provides two asphalt ovals, a dirt oval, a multiple configuration road course, R/C oval, karting oval, and a motorcross area. Overnight camping is available.
