Did you try anything else and if so what was the result?

Anyone have a newer pcr that doesnt push? If so, what cross?

Thanks for the input. What would you think would be a good starting point for the cross? I will start with what we have and see how it feels. Thanks for the advice and i will let ya know...

I don't have a Port City, but that seems like a TON of cross for that setup. If it was me, I'd start at 50% cross and add bar until you get to 52% and see how it feels.

Again, that's just me and what I do with my car (it's a Lefthander that occasionally turns right Big Grin ).

Sorry about not posting more info. After we made changes

Springs
rf 200 with bs
lf 150 with bs
lr 150 with bs
rr 200

sway bar 1 5/16 3 piece bar
wedge 54 with out any pre-load

camber
lf 7 degree
rf 2 degree
caster
lf 1+
rf 2.5+

the car was much better but going to start off this year with trying a setup that Rock recommended.

I agree the new port city cars are hard to make turn but watch one at the governors cup last year in florida just plain smoke everyone so they can be fast just going to take more time to figure out I think.

Rodgers knows that track pretty well. Maybe they do better on 1/2 miles.

Wilkerson99,
these would be close starting pressures, but you can only set them correctly with tire temps, it all depends on the driver driving style and how good the car is handling.

Well, first day of practice is over and it was a blast. car wasnt bad at all or not as bad as my drivingSmile Need just a little more rotation in the middle and a camber change in the rf which may help the front grip. Tires also changed size once they had heat on them so we didnt end up with the rear stagger we wanted but all in all it was a good day. Ended up running some 17.8's last round of practice with around 45-50 laps on the tires. Thanks again for the advice everyone has given it sure helped.

Rock is correct that is just starting pressures you will need to use tire temps to get it right. Sorry

You don't say which bumps you are on but try harder duro's on RF for center rotation. We ran a PC last few years and ended up 200's across front w/ 1 3/8's bar. Track size and driver will determine final setup everytime. You can also try more angle in rear arms. We ended up 3* LR/ 2* RR and won the night we added angle. Trail and error..

We did keep records of tire temps and make only a few changes. I aslo wondered about the stiffness of the bump rubbers. RE installed the purple roller skate type which i think duro 60 on both fronts. Seems kind soft for the speed you carry into the corners. Would going to say a 70 rubber on the rf make that much of a noticable diff?

Usually if you are turning right the car is turning too good. Add some wedge!!!Smile

they be set with driver in the car or out?

what about a rr spring change? currently have a 185 lr 300 rr. would a stiffer rr take grip away from that tire and help car turn at center?
