| dynogdad08 05/06/12 04:11 PM | From a race fans point of view, it appeared that the track personel were unprepaped for the evenings event . The facility was spotless. The spectator gates opened late, not to bad though. Later in the event, went for a hotdog and they were all frozen and not available, ok things happen. Went back for a hotdog three more time. Wenatchee is responsible for breaking the streak, 45 years of racing with a hotdog every time, but not at this year Apple Blossom 200. Enough about the damn hotdogs. Support classes did a crediable job with reasonable car counts. 25 cars timing in for the Late Models , several under the track record. Great looking field of cars. Officials did a lot of dragging their feet. Apperently the freezing wind wasn't affecting them as it was the fans, Hopfully they made more money on concessions and beer during the slow downs. Not HOTDOGS. Many yellows in the late model feature most of which were due to rough driving and a lack of sportsmanship, not enough blackflags to suit some of us. Probably 50 laps of not counted cautions, terrible lenghy delays in getting the lineups correct form the officials. Did a lot of bitching while stuck in the wind but glad I made the trek to watch. Disclaimer, the wind was not the tracks fault, just the slow running show, and no hotdogs. |
