whatever the issue it is sad to see. those were some of the best times i ever had at the winter heats and even the tour races that followed were awesome. same thing with altamont. i remember a dual swt and west series race at altamont where they had to hold the start because the line of cars trying to get in stretched farther than the eye could see.

unfortunately, the promoter is like the coach of a football team, it may not entirely be his fault but..............it truly is his job to put people in the stands, no? just spewing some random thoughts, i certainly wish there was something we could do collectively to get the short tracks back to where we all know they can be.
