|Heaven gained an angel, Amber Aban has found her way. Amber was blessed in life to have Billy and Christie Arban to comfort her as she walked her days on earth. And in turn Billy and Christie were blessed with 12 years of smiles, hugs and laughter from a child they will ever hold in their hearts.
The racing community rose to help the young lady and for that the family will forever be grateful as Shari Arban, spokeswoman for the family said, "With a very broken heart, I want to inform you all that on September 8, 2000 shortly before midnight, our little Angel left us to go to heaven. Thanks to all of you who took the time to donate blood, spread the news and pray. Amber was able to spend a little more time with us because you cared. We can't thank you enough."

High tides had washed hundreds of starfish onto the shore. At the waters edge was a person carefully picking the helpless starfish up, and one after another, gently putting them back in the sea. A jogger came by and asked, "Why are you doing that? You can't possibly make a difference. You can't save them all you know?" The person put another starfish back in the water and said "I saved that one, it made a difference to that one."
Amber Arban is a precious 12 year-old girl that has undergone three major heart surgeries. The most recent one on August 4th was met with several complications. Amber, her parents and all of us familiar with her, whether we have met her or not, know hers is a life worth saving. Please help! She needs blood, any kind. It can be donated directly in the San Diego area or credited from other areas, no matter where you are in the country.
If your little girl or sis needed blood to live, what would you hope for?
