Prayers and Support For Casey Diemert

I just found this forum. I just so happened to google Casey's name today. Its very surreal remembering back on these days. I was 12 when he died- I'm now 22. It's a very bizarre thing getting to know your family members better through stories and through rankings and records. Today- being close to the same age he was...I have a whole new perspective of him, how much of an impact his absence has made. The wonderful stories still continue, we still laugh at his lovely Frank Sinatra impressions, and his spirit is always going to be remembered among the Diemert Family. He has that energy that is going to continue forever. For me though, I will forever remember Casey's sense of fun and adventure, which I know I will carry with me always. ...and car surfing with Casey was always a good time :)

I just happen to come accoss a web page that mentioned a "Casey Diemert Memorial Race". After reading that, I remembered that I had a good childhood friend with the same name when I was younger while living in Dickinson ND. Even then, he loved to race...dirt bikes, motorcycles, you name it. If I remember correctly, his grandmother lived right next to him. After he moved, I saw him one last time when he came to visit. Even though it’s been a long time since I’ve ever talked to or even thought about Casey, I can say this...when we were kids, he was an honest and great friend to me. I am glad to see that he will be remembered. My heart goes out to his family.

I've been thinking about you a lot lately. I wish you were still around, at least I have our memories. Like when we use to go sleding in front of grandma's house and Frank would drive us back up the hill by holding onto the back of the car. I love you Casey.
