Community Cares Donald Edward Conti

Dave Byrd's good friend and a long time sponsor of Dave's racing efforts, Don Conti, was killed Saturday morning when a car crossed into his lane and caused a head on car accident. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Cathedral of the Annunciation, corner of Rose and Van Buren Sts., Stockton, CA on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Please keep Don's wife, family and friends in your prayers.

  Don is going to be missed by so many people that he touched. He was such a great guy and I enjoyed representing and driving for "Conti Material Services" as he was a big supporter of Tim and Jackie Gillits race cars for four years. I wish the whole Conti family my thoughts and prayers.

Throughout the years he would tell me "when you're in Stockton make sure you bring your hauler to my yard so that I can fuel it, wash it and fix it." A true friend to the racing community and to me.
