Uncle Wayne....Growing up around him gave me many special memories. His story telling, his laughter, the family outings to Bill's place with kids running and playing everywhere, his sheepish smile, and his love for his family. I will always remember his caring spirit, especially the time my dad broke his back in a bad automobile accident in Oklahoma several years ago, and he and uncle Raymond drove all the way back there to get him. They loaded him up in his full body cast into the back of a station wagon, and drove non-stop across country to get him safely back home to Ca. Then when my dad died suddenly while on vacation in Ky. He and uncle Raymond again came to our rescue. They flew back to Ky. for the funeral, and then loaded all of us up in the car my dad had drove all the way back there, and again, drove non-stop across country, just to make sure we got back to Ca. safely. As my brother Rick said, I could go on and on. My condolences to Aunt Geri, Wendy, Ron, Karen Debby, and all the rest, you are most definitely in my thoughts and prayers. Peggy Moore

Uncle Wayne, Thank you for being part of our lives. You did so much for me and my family, and I will be forever grateful. I looked up to you and wanted to be like you. You showed me how to fix my bike, and you showed us all, how to build a fast race car. I can remember being in the garage and watching you weld. You told me, time and time again “don’t look at the blue light” but as a boy, I was so intrigued and captivated in what you were doing that I couldn’t help but watch. I paid for it later that night. You taught us all how to be winners…as mechanics, fabricators, engineers, business men and family men. Geri, Wayne Jr., Wendy, Debbie, Karen and the entire Hooper family, my deepest sympathy and prayers to all of you. You all should be so proud to call Wayne Hooper...Dad. I am more than proud to call Wayne Hooper my Uncle.
