Frank "Scoop" Vessels was flying from Redding, California to Montana when his Aero Commander Model 500-B went down south of Burns, Oregon. “I was saddened to hear about the loss of a good friend Frank ‘Scoop’ Vessels as a result of a plane crash,” Dennis Huth, ASA President said. “Scoop was very instrumental in the creation of what is now known as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series back in the early 1990’s. He was a great partner in the creation of what has become a very successful series. Not only did he have a love for horsepower, but for the love of horses as well. My sympathies to his wife, Bonnie and his sons Kash, Colt and Bryant.” |
