An honor to have known him. R.I.P. Fred. You are the best! - WDBradley
I'm not a race fan but am a fan of Fred. To know him is an honor, to work for him is trying, to learn from him is a gift. You met few people in life that are truly impressive and inspire you. Fred is that kind of person. With out question Fred inspired me to dig deep and give my best and then dig a little deeper and do more.
Fred made it clear he had an expectation and then expected you to exceed that expectation. Same when it came to his customer's "promise the best we can do then work hard to exceed that expectation". Pretty much like the race business he loved his manufacturing business operates the same way.
Fred hasn't left us he got promoted to a better position and is expecting each of us to step up and keep pick up the slack.
I will miss the conversations, phone calls and emails that helped me decide direction. Even more I will miss the half smile, attitude and friendship.
Fred is with us everyday and expect that we continue on with his vision. - jimnightingale

Fred you will be dearly missed.in Yakima WA. at State Fair Raceway, R.I.P FRED. - Joe Doellefeld
We will miss Fred, and are very sad of his passing. Our minds and hearts are with his family and friends at this time. I enjoyed many years of fun and "promoter" talk with Fred, when we meet in Reno. We always had a small nickel slot tourny, and he always beat me. We shared a lot of ideas, laughed at lots of things we saw in the many years that we worked in this great business. I will miss you Fred, you were some one I looked forward to seeing every winter. Joe - Carla
Godspeed Fred. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and staff . He has done so much, for so many, in so many ways. His passion for racing, his respect for the sport, his visions for the future, the hard work for today, he taught many how to do it the right way, and when he spoke, he spoke from his heart. We all got to know a man who was great, who's memory will live on, and will never be forgotten. - John Sleeper, Everett Herald
Fred was successful and he achieved that success the right way -- with integrity and logic. In that way, his legacy forever serves as an example for all of us. Thanks, Fred. You touched so many lives. We'll never forget you. - Joe Ploegman
My Condolences to the Brownfield family. I met Fred last summer in Elma at his World of Outlaws race. Though he was very busy we spent 20 minutes talking about the love we have for the sport and our racing experiences. He was a distinguished gentleman who could be admired and looked up to by all. He lived his dream and made his dream a reality.
The racing world will continue, but it will never be the same or as good without Fred giving his ideas and support to our sport of racing. - Bob & Kathy Butcher - MROA Chaplain
Kathy and my deepest condolances go out to Fred's family, friends and his organization. May the Lord's peace that far trancends understanding be yours as you walk through these difficult days ahead. I followed Fred's WOO & racing career way back when I lived back in NY all the way up to today with the NST and his track promotion ...especially enjoying every year at Cottage Grove, OR for the "Wild, Wild Northwest Tour". He brought my family and me many memories there and I always enjoyed talking to him whenever the chance came. He truly was an amazing man and leaves a huge legacy to fill. - Denny Strimple

"A Man"
Measure a man not by his victories but how he accepted his loses.
Measure a man not by where he's been but how he worked to get there.
Measure a man not by whom he has knocked down but by whom he helped up.
Measure a man by not what he has destroyed but what he has created.
Measure a man by not how many people he humiliated but by how many he left with dignity.
Measure a man not by what he had but what he had given.
When a man passes from this life to the next, measure him not by how he died but how he lived.
God Bless..
