| Lake Havasu and Havasu 95 Speedway are feeling a terrible loss, in that one of our premier Street Stock drivers has passed away.
Gary Lee Felish passed away November 20, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 49. He was born to Joseph and Jeraldyne (Giannoni) Felish on March 14, 1959 in Berwyn, IL.
Gary moved to Lake Havasu City 30 years ago and went to work for several years at Ed & Mikes, then went to work at Chong RV & Marine. After a few years at Chong, Gary bought the Union 76 Gas Station which became Gary's Texaco on the corner of Lake Havasu Ave. and Smoketree Ave. After several years owning and operating the gas station, Gary sold his station and moved his business to 140 N. Lake Havasu Ave. where he opened Gary's Auto, Marine & RV. Gary also became involved with the Lake Havasu City Fire Department as a paid on-call firefighter and EMT.
Gary loved stock car racing at Havasu 95 Speedway, was a big Dale Earnhart Jr. NASCAR fan, loved going to Glamis to ride his sand cars and was also a boating enthusiast. Most of all, Gary was a loving father, husband and best friend.
