Ron Hornaday Jr.'s mother, Helen, passed away Saturday morning in California. Thank you to Lance Hooper's mom for letting us all know of this loss. Helen Hornaday was a racing icon. She was a wife to 2 Time NASCAR Winston West Series Champion Ron Hornaday, Mother to 2 time Featherlite Southwest Series / 2 Time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Ron Hornaday Jr. and Grandmother to NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Driver Ronnie Hornaday III. "Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and a FAN of the sport of Auto Racing." "My family and myself would like to say Thank-you so very much for all of your nice wishes for our mother. She passed away Saturday morning from heart failure. We will miss her so much but we know in our hearts that she is in a better place now, with God and all of her angels that she loved so much.
