Prayers and Support For Joanne LaMoure

What a courageous woman you were Joanne, in the throws of your illness you still managed to make it to Darryl's Phoenix race this past February. You will be greatly missed by us all and will forever be remembered for your "baloney surprise" sandwiches everyone raved about. Rest in Peace!

My mothers passing is a great loss and we will miss her. Having worked with her for 22 years, loved to go fishing as much as we could also the racing which she loved so much we were blessed and wish all families were as fortunate ours! Not many people know that we planned the racing trips around enjoyment first! we would plan for beach time or mountain time when we were in those locations always made time to enjoy what God has given us... Stories will continue to be thought of not only of my mom but what dad and mom and what they gave us boys over the years. You know what is real cool? "Every memory is a positive one". Its times like this that we learn how important relationships are specially those with our families, I think in the past few years I have become more cognizant of that but we really don't pay attention until tragedy comes? My team and I including good old Dad will be sharing the El Cajon race with my Mom as she will be driving the #94 Monte Carlo Saturday night, of course I will assist a little! I think she is hooking up with Dale as we speak and getting tips?
  • Lee Elder and family

I remember having a remarkable conversation last year @ the L.A. Street race. She came over to the McCoun trailer & struck up a conversation which lasted for 20-30 minutes. Though I had not met her previously, after our conversation, I felt like I had know her for a lifetime! She was indeed a very special & couragous woman who was batteling the dreaded disease cancer. I will always cherish that particular moment in time. After she departed back to Darrels trailer, I wept a little & lifted her up in prayer ot our Lord Jesus Christ. May she be in His arms now & undoubtedly sitting on the front row of every Tour race, in heaven of coarse.

"Ma" LaMoure, was not only a friend, but our friends Mom, and for that she will be doubly missed by us. While we may not see her smiling face at, and away from the track any longer, her memory and her presence will always be felt by the lives of those whom she touched. We appreciate the chance to have met and known Jo, and are vastly better for it. We offer our prayers and support to the family and friends of "Jo." "Have at it, Jo"

Roger LaMoure and family sad to hear JoAnne has left us. So glad we had the pleasure of meeting her boys and what a good job she did as a mother as she did in all of her many roles. We are so happy for the time we got with Rodger and JoAnne this winter. We know that she is gone to a better place, but how we will miss her. Our prayers are with you.
  • Kurt & Mama Busch
Dear LaMoure family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Even though we only knew Joanne for a few short years they were great ones. She was always smiling and very nice to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all of us that she touched.

Darrell, we are so sorry to hear about your loss. When I received your email this morning my thoughts immediately returned to the time I first met your Mom and Dad. I was officiating an IMCA race at Manzy and was just having one problem after another. When the races finally finished I was standing on the track waiting for more fun to start when your Mom and Dad approached me. I had just moved to the area and did not know many people and to tell you the truth I was ready to quit and move back. They went out of there way to talk to me that night and told me what a good job I was doing and without knowing it gave me the courage to get back up there the next week and continue with my career. I am so glad I had the chance to be part of your first years in the SWT with your family. I will cherish those times with your team and always remember the way your Mom went out of her way to include myself and my family into your family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
  • Bob and Joette Thomas

TO THE LA MOURE FAMILY, I would like to join countless others in expressing my condolences during your time of sorrow. I had the pleasure of meeting, and talking racing with, Joanne for the first time while covering a NASCAR Southwest Series race in 1995. Her warm smile and positive outlook on life enriched those who were fortunate enough to meet her. May God bless your family during this difficult time. Roger, Darrell & Family: Our heartfelt condolences go to you and your entire family at this time. Joanne was literally one in a billion. She always had a smile and open arms for a hug. She loved life, racing, and most of all her family of which she was so very proud. We are so happy and thankful that we had the pleasure to meet and know Joanne. We know that she is in a great place and with those racing enthusiasts who have gone before her and all of them are still watching over those left behind. What a nice lady!!!!!! Take care of each other.
