Community Cares Robert "Grandpa Bob" Fennell

Only one month after his wife Mae passed away in September 2000, it was found that he had a tumor. Grandpa went through radiation and found that it worked. However, it was only temporary. He did get to enjoy 4 races with the Kenny Smith team this season.

Robert was a US Army Veteran and a Sheet Metal worker of 50 years. Most recently he enjoyed working on the Quick Pick Motorsports Fleet of race cars. Grandpa Bob will be especially missed by Kenny as they were very close. Kenny said, "My buddy is gone."

Grandpa Bob will be laid to rest at a service by Chaplain Dick Varder of NASCAR Winston West and a 21 gun salute from the US Army. Our prayers are with the entire Smith family.
