![]() This morning this Prayer Project is covered in Worship & Praise & Thanksgiving. As I write this to catch you up I write amid listening & singing with “Casting Crowns” & an especially good cup of coffee. It’s my special style of Worship and very special to me. The music may change but it is time with our Lord & King. However, today things are especially personal to our family. Things were intense this week and just to make it tougher this all began as our home phone and internet went out! We had no email to ask you into our life through prayer and intercession until this morning. Then again, NOW is the time to call out to you to dig in and wrap our little Taren in a cocoon of prayer and hold him safe from the enemy of life. We are calling upon you today for your assistance in this. Let me update you: Some of you reading this understand since you heard. For those of you beyond our local area and part of our team via email let me explain the story: Our daughter and her husband Joseph were pregnant and due July 9th. That was all until in the early morning of last Monday when Sarah called us with serious back pain and contractions. She was hurried to Silverton Hospital and they realized the situation and put her and Joseph into an ambulance and they took an 80 mph trip to Portland to OHSU, or the Oregon Health Science University Hospital which is combined with both Dornbecker’s and the Shriners Hospital for children. Upon arrival they began Sarah with meds to quit the contractions and attempt to keep her 27 week baby inside her as long as possible along with meds to assist little Taren in development in case of the probable. Needlessly to say that through our YWAM family and multiple church families both local and across the USA, the call to prayer went out around the world for them. (Sorry, it is hard to write through tears, but today they are tears of joy and hope because the Lord is a faithful God who answers prayer). There have been prayers and words of prophecy and hope received from around the world. Love & care is an amazing thing at times like this and our family has been on the receiving end this time. Tuesday and Wednesday were long and trying days, but the Word of the Lord continued strong through family & friends worldwide and we chose to simply STAND and be silent and know that HE IS LORD! Kathy & I cancelled our ministry trip to Phoenix this week & weekend and I was blessed with the ability of a close racing Chaplain friend Jim Lanning to cover our flock at Phoenix. (The outcome of that is another amazing story sometime). Sarah’s sister Leeanne stayed with her and Joseph Wednesday night along with Leeanne’s little 4 month old Elijah who has been amazing and a calming factor through this ordeal. Early Thursday morning Leeanne called to say you better get here quick so there came the scramble to OHSU again. Upon arrival with it looking that Taren’s birth looked imminent we took time as a family and had communion and prayer together with our niece Kelley who the Lord moved upon with a POWERFUL prophecy and word. Truly, the Lord clearly spoke to me and told me to “stand behind MY Prophet and lay my hands upon her” which believe me I obeyed and OMIGOSH!!! Shortly afterward the room was cleared and the doctors rushed in and Taren Hunter Rambeck was born breathing on his own and crying and doing everything a newborn should at only 2 pounds 2 ounces and 13.5 inches long. The doctors are absolutely amazed. Taren remains high above all the doctor’s expectations but his stay in Neonatal Care will be months. Sarah will be released today and she is doing great. Her and Joseph get to see Taren whenever but only inside his incubator of course. ******* As when I started this Prayer request, NOW is THE TIME to carry little Taren in a cocoon of prayer for quick growth and ready to go home. With your prayers we can do this. The rule of thumb is that he will not go home before his original due date of July 9th and that is a huge load on Sarah & Joseph and all our family. ******* Please also pray for the finances for them to be able to be with their baby. This will be huge! If anyone wants to help in this gifts can be sent to our safe mail box at YWAM as follows:
Again, thank you for standing with our family through this. We are so blessed to have our little Taren with us and all of you to support us in prayer. We say it a lot, but it is so true: Jesus is LORD and HE is on the throne and God answers prayer!

Once again it is really close to home – our little Taren boy.
Thank you for being such a huge part of his miraculous life and healing.
Truly, God answers prayers!

.: More

I realize I haven't sent out an update for awhile.
I believe you know that Taren had surgery on April 21st to put a VAD in his head to collect the excess fluids. All went well and he has recovered from that and is continuing to grow again.
He continues to be in Portland at OHSU, but the hope is to transfer him to Salem when the doctors say that is OK. Here is today’s update from Sarah & Joseph in their own words:
