Alex Mueller

Alex Mueller Driver Bio
Alex Mueller is a man feared by his competitors. They who encounter him on the race track know about his persistence to reach victory lane. Passing Mueller is not an easy task - being overtaken by him can happen very easily.

At age eight, Mueller started go-kart racing. By 15, he finished second in the World Kart Championship, the European Kart Championship and the International German Championship. Mueller's driving skill is a natural talent. He has worked hard on extending his know-how about physical fitness, racing technology and public relations to his performance on and off the track.

In 1995, Mueller placed third in the BMW Formula Junior Championship driver standings with two poles and two wins. He continued his momentum the following year winning the Pilot Renault Championship and Rookie of the Year in his first season. Mueller dominated the circuit with six poles and six victories, the most by a rookie driver. Mueller moved up to the International German Formula Three Championship in 1997 and earned four poles and four victories. His four victories with Benetton's RTL Junior Team placed him third in the championship driver standings in his first year.

1998 Mueller entered the International Formula 3000 Championship with the BMW Junior Team. He raced against drivers like Juan-Pablo Montoya and earned a career-best fifth-place finish at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. Mueller returned to the series in 2002 with a part-time schedule.

In 1999, Mueller finished seventh in the French Formula 3 Championship with two poles and one win before finishing second in the International German Formula 3 Championship in 2000. Mueller earned three poles and five victories in a Dallara powered by a Mugen Honda engine.

Two years before coming to the United States, Mueller competed in the Euro Formula 3000 Championship. Mueller would finish third in the driver standings with three poles and three second-place finishes.

In 2003, Mueller went to California Speedway and passed the IRL IndyCar Series rookie test running consistent laps in the 220 mph range. Now Mueller will experience a different style of racing, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
