Butch Gilliland Driver Bio
Butch Gilliland is a former motorcycle racer who began competing on four wheels in Grand American stock cars at the old Ascot Park Speedway in Gardena, Calif. After establishing a highly successful business in Anaheim, he was again began racing this time competing in enduro races, and used the purse money to buy a NASCAR Winston West Series car. He won his first Winston West Race at Saugus Speedway in 1995. He won three NASCAR Winston West events in 1996 and four more in 1997, along with the series championship and the most popular driver award. He won three races in 1998 and two races in 1999 along with the Most Popular Driver award for the second time in his career.
