Wes Rhodes Driver Bio
Wes Rhodes is a self-employed builder. His wife, Cindy and two sons, Christopher and Dan, are a constant fixture at every race he drives. The dedication and passion the family shares for racing is evident. Dan is the tire changer for his dad, and is also doing a little driving himself, and Cindy time scores her husband’s races. Wes Rhodes has been in racing for twenty years. His accomplishments are numerous. They include becoming South Sound Speedway Street Stock Rookie of the Year in 1982; South Sound Speedway Super Stock Champion for three consecutive years (1986-1989); Winston Racing Series Champion and 3rd in the Winston Racing Series Great West Region in 1990; South Sound Speedway Super Stock Champion and 5th in the Region in 1992; and Grand American Modified Champion and 4th in the Region in 1997. In 1999, Wes began racing the NW tour. With a different track every race, it was a struggle for the #6 crew to adjust to the car set-ups for every track, but they persevered. Wes was the runner-up for the 1999 Totem Travel Rookie of the Year award and finished 12th in season points. With the 2000 season, things improved to 7th in season points and he was one of eight drivers to make all seventeen events. -- by Kaci
