Kleenex announced the sponsorship of Kenny Shepherd for select events in the Featherlite Southwest Series. Huggies diapers and Save Mart Supermarkets will also be onboard the Shepherd Motorsports Monte Carlo's. The Inside Lines Apparel Company will return as an associate sponsor for the '99 season as well.

"I'm very excited about 1999, Shepherd Motorsports will be fielding the cars and nearly the entire crew from the '98 season is committed to us. The December race at Tucson was a tune up race for our new team, we qualified third and ran a good race. The opportunity to race for Save Mart in those Southwest Series events in our home area is a thrill. I'm looking forward to Sears Point, Save Mart sponsors Sunday's Cup event and to race for them the day before should be a lot of fun."

Kleenex has experience with Nascar racing. The 1999 season will be the third year Kleenex has sponsored a Featherlite Southwest Series car. Kleenex also has a Busch Series program. " I was fortunate to have an opportunity to drive for Kleenex in three races during the 1997 season. I must say that they are the nicest people I have ever met and I'm very proud and excited to have them onboard for the '99 season. I'm looking forward to a long term relationship."
