KENNY SHEPHERD LOOKS TO TUCSON
 FEATHERLITE SOUTHWEST SERIES

Kenny Shepherd As Kenny Shepherd heads to this weekend's NASCAR Touring 200 at Tucson Raceway Park he has one thing on his mind, showing his new sponsor at Kleenex he knows the way to victory lane!

Of course in order to win the race he must finish the event. Tucson is not a track known for being gentle on cars, but Shepherd feels he is up to the challenge. And win or lose the fans will be there for him as he follows his passion -- racing.

RacingWest: Why do you race?
Kenny Shepherd: To compete, work with the cars, crew and see the fans.

RW: What drives you?
KS: A challenge drives me and to have a lot of passion for what I'm doing.

RW: Who are your heroes outside of racing?
KS: Chuck Yeager is my biggest hero. We think we have cool lives as racecar drivers?

RW: Does driving this style of car scare you at anytime?
KS: The only thing that scares me about driving these cars is they eat a lot of cash.

RW: Did you make a New Years Resolution?
KS: No time for a new resolution, we are racing and I'm still working on last years.

RW: Is there any rule you would like to see added or removed from the Series?
KS: Other than safety items, I would like to see a freeze on the rules for three years at a time. ####
