Lakewood, Colo. -- The NASCAR Winston West Team of driver Scott Gaylord is looking forward to the January 17 Winston West Opener at Tucson Raceway Park in the annual Winter HeatSeries. Going into his 10th season in the Winston West Series, Gaylord is determined to set on the pole, win and continue to stay in the top-five all season.

Gaylord, selected as NASCAR's 1998 Winston West Most Popular Driver, has more determination to go full throttle in making 1999 a winning year. Gaylord's 13th place Winston Cup finish at the Motegi, Japan, Coca- Cola 500 on 21 Nov. 98, made Scott the highest finishing Winston West competitor as well as the fastest Winston West qualifier. Look for Gaylord to continue his hard charging runs in the #00 Oliver Gravity Separators Chevrolet Monte Carlo at Tucson.
