JOE BEAN HANGS ON FOR 9TH
 WINSTON WEST SERIES

The Banks Power/ Mission Foods GAT Motorsports #77 Taurus driven by Joe Bean made a stunning debut in the Winter Heat finale at Tucson Raceway Park this past Sunday. The team led by crew chief, Larry Lally, prepared the car and helped put it in the show. The car was flawless in the first hundred-lap segment Joe Bean drove his heart out finishing in the 5th position.

After the break the car ran fine until a rear-end locker spring gave out. Joe was still able to keep it on the lead lap and brought it home with a top ten finish in the 9th spot.

"We are a new team that is on a roll," said Nava. "These guys gave me a good car and from the looks of it we have good momentum going into our next race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway."

The team will now tire test at Las Vegas Speedway and the new Irwindale Speedway before going back into action at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 6th 1999

The team thanks all the fans that called after watching it on ESPN2 for the support that they have shown.
