MARK REED TO MISS PHOENIX AND REGROUP
 FEATHERLITE SOUTHWEST SERIES

Reed Motorsports

Reed Motorsports (RMS) and driver Mark Reed are going to sit out the 22nd. Annual Copper World Classic.

For the first time in four years driver Mark Reed will not be in the line up for the Copper World Classic. After a disappointing 1998 season RMS is going to use this much needed break to regroup and build a new car and motor. RMS ran a limited schedule in 1998 while seeking a primary sponsor. During the 1998 season the Food 4 Less grocery stores of Northern, CA joined RMS as the primary sponsor for eight events starting with the California 200 at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma, CA.

"RMS is very excited about our relationship with Food 4 Less. Unfortunately last year our budget was so tight that we were competing with less than par equipment, but with increased sponsorship in 1999, a new car, and Maropolis motor program I am confident our team will be a contender week in and week out." - Mark Reed

RMS will run 12 select events in 1999; 9 NASCAR Southwest Series, 1 All Pro, and 2 Remax Challenge events.

"We are always working to expand our horizons, we had hoped to take Food 4 Less to the NASCAR Winston West Series as a primary sponsor for 1999, but as everyone involved in motorsports understands sponsorship negotiations can be very difficult and time consuming. However RMS is very proud to be associated with Food 4 Less, JH Sims Trucking, JT Enterprises, Sun Valley Oil Co., and Sharp Insurance for the 1999 season." - Mark Reed

RMS and Mark Reed would like to thank all of their fans for your continued support and say that we will miss seeing you at the Copper, but look forward to Mesa Marin April 9, 1999. ####
