SCOTT GAYLORD DRIVER LOG FOR ORLEANS 150 -- After getting a few minor problems fix after the first practice, we were eager to start getting some speed out of our race car when I slammed the turn two wall and totaled the # 00 Oliver Gravity Separators Monte Carlo after the engine blew and I spun in my own oil during practice for the ORLEANS 150 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

We used a back up car to qualify that had not been on the race track until that point which resulted in my taking a provisional for the first time in my career.

Once the race started the car did not run well enough to stay in the race so we parked it and finished 36th

The race was a crash-fest with only 19 car finishing the race.

The Oliver team will not be able to make the next Winston West race at Phoenix. This will be the first race in 5 seasons that we can't make.

I hope to find a ride with another team for the next couple of races or until we can get the team ready to race again.

I have to say thanks to all the Oliver team members, sponsors and Geoff the owner for a great run. I feel very luck to have had the chance to race in over 75 Winston West races."
