THIEVES FORCE JSI MOTORSPORTS TO PACK UP!
 FEATHERLITE SOUTHWEST SERIES

After running in the top 5 in every short track race they entered, Nick Joanides and the JSI Motorsports team were looking forward to the next five races on the schedule as all of these races are at tracks Nick and the team have experience at. Hopes were high to have good finishes in these races and extend the teams lead in the Rookie of the Year standings.

However this past week, someone broke into the team trailer, stealing all of the equipment, tools, transmission, bell housing, spare parts and motor. Unfortunately, the JSI Motorsports team is a self-funded team with no major sponsorship. All money was being spent in an effort to build a competitive racecar. While the team has been very successful so far, the estimated loss of $25,000-$30,000 is too much for the team to over come at this time.

Nick and the team however would like to thank the fans for their overwhelming support and all of the Southwest Series officials for making this rookie team feel at home. The team will eventually recover and get back on track. In the mean time, Nick will search for a ride in order to continue pursuing the Rookie of the Year title. ####
