Craig Raudman survived a late-race shootout to win the Coors Light 125 Featherlite Southwest Series event at Cajon Speedway. Raudman, Redding, Calif., passed Bruce Bechtel on the 17th circuit of the scheduled 125-lap event and led the rest of the way. But a caution period in the final laps gave veterans Bob Lyon and Bryan Germone a chance to lineup directly behind the leader for the restart. "My spotter told me I'd better keep it on the bottom" Raudman said. "I did." Lyon, Aqua Dulce, Calif., finished .25 of a second behind the winner and Germone finished third. Darrell LaMoure, Glendale, Ariz., finished fourth and Scott Busby, Martinez, Calif., was fifth. The victory was the seventh of Raudman's career and came after he won his eighth career Bud Pole Award for posting the fastest time in qualifying. He won $4,085. The next race for the Featherlite Southwest Series will be April 9 at Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif.
