JOE BEAN OVERCOMES BIG HURDLES
 WINSTON WEST SERIES

Joe Bean

FONTANA, CA -- The Rudolph Foods/CPR/Esprit Cad Cam Ford Taurus driven by Joe Bean overcame some pretty big obstacles to bring the team home with an 8th place finish this past Saturday at the California 200 Winston West race held at the beautiful California Speedway.

The team actually moved up two positions in the standings and now occupies the 6th spot. The team is only 20 points out of 4th spot and hope to make a charge to the front of the standings real soon. Joe drove a great race and got the car up to the 5th position, but the pit jack failed on a pit stop and the team lost a lot of ground to the leaders while in the pits.

"I felt we had a lot left in the car despite our bad starting spot" said Joe after the race. "It's tough racing out there with those (NASCAR Winston) Cup and (NASCAR Craftsman) Truck guys but we managed to hold our own and gave them a run for the money. Overall we put on a good race and that is good for all the loyal fans that were up in the stands and in the infield."

The team now sets its sights on Pikes Peak with the hopes of a good finish that will help it in it's quest for the (NASCAR Winston West) series title. Stay tuned for more ####
