WOODSIDE CONFIDENT OF ANOTHER TOP FIVE AT PIKES PEAK
 WINSTON WEST SERIES

The Napa Crew
Fast Pit stops by the Napa crew at California Speedway lead Woodside to another top-10 finish.

ROSEVILLE, CA -- Sean Woodside, driver of the #16 NAPA Auto Parts/Martin Senour Automotive Finishes/NAPA Filters Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR Winston West Series, feels at home on a one-mile oval like Pikes Peak International Raceway and it shows in his performance.

With top five finishes in both the 1997 and 1998 NASCAR Winston West Series events at the Fountain, Colorado facility, Woodside expects to run well in this Sunday's King Soopers 150 Presented by American Express NASCAR Winston West Series race at Pikes Peak International Raceway.

Woodside spent the first several years of his NASCAR driving career at short tracks in the western United States. He collected two championships and four second place points finishes within the past seven seasons, including late model programs and the past two seasons in the NASCAR Winston West Series.

Woodside commented "These one-mile ovals are like "big short tracks." They're a lot of fun. We're running faster than we would at a traditional short track, but we still get into a lot of the intense, side-by-side racing that the fans like to see."

The King Soopers 150 Presented by American Express will be televised on ESPN2 tape delayed on June 12 at 10:00 p.m. PDT.

Woodside and team owner Bill McAnally are also looking forward to visiting with the NAPA Mountain Division again and hosting NAPA's many manufacturers, the NAPA distribution center employees, store owners and customers. NAPA is title sponsor for this weekend's companion event to the NASCAR Winston West Series race, the NAPA 300K NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.

Thanks to strong sponsorship support, Bill McAnally Racing will debut a new hauler within the next couple of weeks. McAnally worked with NAPA and their manufacturers to acquire the rig, which is currently being painted in NAPA colors and will carry many manufacturers' logos.

McAnally said, "The new hauler will enable us to haul two race cars, the primary car and a backup. The tremendous exposure it will bring will give NAPA and their manufacturers the image they deserve."

Bill McAnally Racing owns and operates the #16 NASCAR Winston West team with Sean Woodside as driver. They are currently in third place in the points standings. Current season results include one win, one top five and three top ten finishes. Woodside finished both the 1997 and 1998 seasons in second place in the Winston West points standings. ####
