PRE-RACE QUOTES FOR IRWINDALE 100
 FEATHERLITE SOUTHWEST SERIES SERIES

Robert from Auggie Vidovich team: I would like just to say what Bob DeFazio has done here is just spectacular. It's a nice facility, a nice pit, everything seems to be spread out so everyone is spread out. Generally it is a good facility. Look forward to going out there and maybe winning.

Boomer Schultz: Beautiful facility here at Irwindale. We are hoping to get out and make a few solid laps in qualifying and maybe make the show and finish on the lead lap that is our main objective.

Mike Ray: It's the first time we have been out here. The race track itself the whole facility is a beautiful place. We can tell they have spent a lot of money and done it right. Qualifying wise we don't know. We don't run the tour regularly. We hope to just make the race with a top ten in qualifying. That would be great and I would surely be happy with that.

Jerry crew chief for Bobby Lyon: I think our car is real good. We were like 5th the first practice. I think we may qualify top ten. Great facility. best facility we have been to on the West Coast.

John Baker: I'm real impressed with the facility. It is super nice. I like the track a lot. It is real familiar to the track I run at home in Tucson, just a little bit bigger, but its fast we've been real good out there today we've been in the top ten, I've been real happy.

Damon Lusk: The track looks good. Lot of room lot for lead changes and its safe. I hope to have a good qualifying run in the top ten.

Jim Inglebright: Compare it to Tucson where you can run it more on the top. It's not really a horse power race track. It should be good racing, a lot of good side by side racing.

Roger Mears Jr: The track is beautiful. I love it. It looks like there will be a lot of good racing because the track is wide and it looks like a lot of grooves. As far as I think I am going to do tonight we are fastest right now. I have high expectations. We have no idea what the longevity is going to be with the setup of this car. Hoping it will last the whole race.

Kurt Bush: State of the art facility here. The place is smooth as glass with a lot of racing grooves. It is just a little hard for us to get a hold the set-up of right now, but it is an easy track by far it is the best track west of the Mississippi.

Bryan Germone: Things are going really good. I like the track a lot. It is really nice and smooth. Good for the fans, will be a great show. Car feels good we are hoping for a top-ten qualifying. We are hoping for a top 5 in the race. Steve Petty and Pharb gave me a great opportunity, and I hope to make the most with it.

Steve Petty: I like the track, we came down and tested. It should be a good fast race; we would like a top ten.

Rick Allison: This track is really nice. Nice to come on to something new with a lot of traction. We are running in the top ten. We are pretty pleased so far.

Gary Lewis: I love the track, real nice track the turns seem to be real consistent and exactly the same all the way around. So you can get a good set up for the whole track. The car seems to be really stable, really easy to drive, maintains speed after quite a few laps. Time will tell.

Scott Lynch: Beautiful facility, marvelous, the only complaint I really have is the exit off the track is a little tight, but other than that by far it is the nicest track I have ever raced at. Look to qualify between the top 10 and top 15.

Greg Pursley: The track is a pretty good track its real racy you can run three wide, sometimes 4 wide. It's a lot of fun to run. It is a pretty forgiving track if you screw up you can pretty much pull out of it, otherwise it is fast a lot of fun.

Craig Raudman: The track is extremely fast, real nice real wide, it drives a lot like Tucson in some ways. There is a lot of turn there in the turns its got good grip hope to qualify upfront tonight.

Darrell LaMoure: Real happy with track. The first time I tested it was real green, but now that it has been run on it is very fast and I enjoy it very much. I think this particular evening will break history in the Southwest series with more lead changes under racing conditions. Would like to get in the top ten. And would love to win the race. ####
