Team: Cain Motorsports
Car: # 71

Driver: Jerry Cain
Owner: Taryn Cain

RacingWest: What is your overall impression of the Pikes Peak International Raceway?
Jerry Cain: This will be our first time to compete there. From what I heard from other rivers that competed last year it was a great facility, a great track to race, and the grandstands were packed with enthusiastic crowds.

RW: How do you think the high altitude will effect you as a driver?
JC: I have competed in Colorado in the past and I did not notice the thinner air.

RW: How do you think the lower air pressure of the high country will affect horsepower production of your engine?
JC: It will definitely be reduced.

RW: With this race being 150 laps, how will the pit strategy be different from the 200-lap race of a year ago?
JC: It will still be long enough that strategy will play a part.

RW: What are the major differences between the last track the NASCAR Winston West Series raced at, the California Speedway and Pikes Peak International Raceway?
JC: California Speedway is about how deep you can get into the corner, Pikes Peak should be like Phoenix, "fairly flat" you will need slow the car down to get it through the corners.

RW: What changes do you regularly make between practice, qualifying and the race?
JC: Will this new track be any different? We try to qualify with our race setup with some alterations, but if the field is really tight we will go with a radical qualifying set up.

RW: How do you size up the competition level in the Series this year with so many drivers from last year gone and so many new ones competing?
JC: Very competitive.

RW: Based on your agenda for the end of the season, where are you now in relationship to where you planned to be at this time?
JC: We are a little behind where we wanted to be and should be. However our momentum is moving us forward.

RW: Will your team be doing any special promotions for sponsors during this weekend?
JC: No, but we do have something special at the next race.

RW: Where can the fans find you for autographs?

JC: We will be available at the track for any fan that wants a photo of the card with a signature. ####
