GAYLORD RACING UPCOMING PLANS

LAKEWOOD, Colorado -- Scott Gaylord announced that he will complete in the Bank One 250 at Rocky Mountain Raceway near Salt Lake City on Monday , Labor Day, 6 September 1999. He will be driving the #00 Oliver Gravity Separators Monte Carlo . This is the first time the NASCAR Winston West series has gone to the 3/8 mile oval. The 250 lap race will be a side by side , bumper to bumper event!

Gaylord also announced that he has been invited by NASCAR for the fourth year to compete in the 21 Nov. 99 NASCAR race at Twin Ring Motegi , Japan. Last year he finished 13th , winning over $22,000. His finish was the highest of the Winston West drivers who competed against Winston Cup drivers such as Earnhardt and Gordon . Only select drivers from Winston West , Winston Cup, Craftsman Truck and BUSCH Grand National series have been invited in the past.

Gaylord will drive the SMS Motorsports Thunderbird for Steve Sellers of Sacramento CA. The Winston West race in Japan is NASCAR's first overseas race that counts for the series points and is the final race in the 99 series.

" I'm really excited to get back to a Winston West ride among my many friends and fans . It should be an action packed race at Salt Lake City. This year we will be taking a Ford to Japan. We are expecting to win for sure." Gaylord has recently taken a break from Winston West racing and competed in two Busch Grand National events.
