UPDATE JOHNS/VALEDEZ

Dick Varder went to visit both David Valadez and Keith Johns this week, both are now in the same hospital.

David is doing very well except for the pneumonia. He has problems breathing on his own. The doctors say he may be able to be transferred this weekend to a hospital near his home so as he will be able to see his family. Also Julie can sleep in her own bed. He is in very good spirits as the burns are healing very well. There is some red areas where they harvested skin for the grafts but that will go away in time. He is still on a ventilator to assist his breathing, but should be off that soon.

Keith Johns, son of Bob Johns is through surgery to reconstruct his jaw is doing very well. His jaw is wired shut so he is only able to drink and eat through a tube. He does not like that. He should be able to go home this weekend. He will have to go through a long time of therapy to make everything work correctly again, but considering what happened to him he is in great shape.
