ROCKLIN, California -- The Bill McAnally Racing (BMR) hasn’t given up in the chase for the 2004 NASCAR Grand National Division West Series Championship. The #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS team with driver Austin Cameron are 63 points away as they head to the final race of the season at Irwindale Speedway for the “NAPA AUTO PARTS 150”. Cameron and the team won the race the last time the series visited the speedway in July. The #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS team has recorded eight top-five finishes at Irwindale with five wins in the past four years.
“We have our work cut out for us,” said Cameron. “We know that we have to win this race by quite a bit over the #9 car of Mike Duncan to give a fourth championship to our race partner, NAPA AUTO PARTS. The team with crew chief, Doug George, has been working hard preparing for this final race and we feel confident we can get the job done.”
Kerry Earnhardt returns to drive the #20 NAPA Belts & Hose/NASCAR Select by NAPA Filters Chevrolet. Earnhardt finished seventh at first and only visit to the speedway earlier this season and looks to record his first win in the series. The #20 NAPA Belts & Hose team led the most laps at the recent race in Colorado and have had some top-five finishes this season. The team currently is 18th in the championship point race.
BMR’s race partner, NAPA AUTO PARTS with their store owners, employees and customers will be at the speedway to cheer for their team. BMR would like to thank them along with our associate sponsors for all their support this race season.
