Wes Miller and Mike Garcia Racing are set to race at the Bullring in Las Vegas this weekend. This will be the first attempt for both Miller and the #18 2004 Exhaust Pro’s Chevrolet at this track. Wes Miller and team owner, Mike Garcia, are competitors at Stockton 99 Speedway in the Western Late Model division, and are very proud to represent their home track. Miller knows he will have his hands full, but is confident that Mike Garcia Racing and Roos Race Car Preparation will give him every opportunity to be a top contender.

Miller drove for Garcia at the Stockton 99 Speedway Open Comp Show in September. Garcia changed the car number from his #57 to Miller’s #18 and set a new qualifying time track record. Miller started eighth and worked his way to second place when he had to retire the car due to a mechanical failure. One week later, the team and Miller qualified tenth at Shasta for the Win River 150. Miller won his 25 lap heat race, which consisted of the top ten qualifiers and placed him on the pole for the main event. At lap eight, Miller was in fourth place, when the third place car spun and made heavy contact with Miller which retired him from the race.

Miller started out the 2004 racing season driving the #25 California Hot Wood Chevrolet for Paul Dorrity, Sr. in the SRL division. He ended the regular season at Altamont Raceway Park in his Jerry Baxter built Grand American Modified in their Spec Motor Modified division. Garcia raced a full season in the Western Late Model division in Stockton. Garcia drove Miller's car at Altamont in October. Garcia has decided to make Miller his teammate for the 2005 season.

On October 16th, our racing community lost one of our newest and brightest stars. J.D. Moore, son of John Moore, tragically lost his life in a testing incident at Stockton 99 Speedway. Miller and everyone at Mike Garcia Racing would like to extend our greatest sympathy to John, Tonja and Colton Moore. Wes and Mike would like to dedicate this race to John and his family.####
