
Series veteran Scott Gaylord of Lakewood, Colo., in the No. 00 Oliver Gravity
Separators/Denver Seminary Chevrolet finished fifth at Irwindale Speedway in the season finale and wins the PowerAde Power Move of the Race Award.
Gaylord, made a strong charge to the front at Irwindale, earning him his second PowerAde Power Move of the Race Award for 2004. Gaylord moved from 16th to fifth in the 152-lap race. At each Grand National Division event, PowerAde presents the award to the driver who advances the most positions. This was Gaylord’s eighth top-five finish in 2004.
Gaylord finished 4th in the NASCAR Grand National West Series 2004 championship standings. This is Gaylord's third top-five finish in the championship.
Gaylord also won both the 2004 PowerAde Power Move of the Race and the 2004 Featherlite Most Improved Driver award which earned him an additional $9,000. This will be Gaylord's second in a row PowerAde year end award.
Gaylord will compete in the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown, Nov. 11-13. This invitation only event features the stars of NASCAR’ s top Regional Racing Series.
