
The cars are taking their warm-up laps for the second segment of their twin events. The green flag is ready to fly, the No. 14 of Jason Small stops between turns one and two and the yellow is brought out. Small is getting a push off the track. It has been a hard year for the talented Bakerfield driver. Meanwhile Kevin Small has salvaged what he could of the No. 4 ride and is ready to roll for the event.
Lights are out and they are going green Bobby Aldrich leads them off and Mike Duncan challenges Aldrich on the backstretch, Duncan powers to the front to lead the first lap.
Lap 2 Dan Holtz is showing some muscle as he moves his way up to the front.
Lap 4 Holtz has moved up to the second place position.
Lap 5 Running order is Duncan, Holtz, Bobby Aldrich, Rex Calderwood, Les DenHerder.
Lap 7 Duncan continues to lead, but Holtz is moving up on the leader.
Lap 8 Holtz is right on the tail of Duncan. Holtz goes low in three and gets loose.
Lap 9 Holtz continues to challenge Duncan for the lead. Calderwood is running in third with a cushion in front and behind him.
Lap 11 Running order: Duncan, Holtz, Calderwood, Aldrich, and DenHerder.
Lap 13 Caution is out. Charlie Watler. We notice that Jason Small has rejoined the field; he had a wire problem that caused him to miss the start of the 2nd event.
Lap 15 Lights are out on the pace car
Lap 16 GREEN! Duncan is out in front with Holtz right back on him chasing him down. Calderwood and Aldrich still 3rd and 4th.
Lap 18 Tight racing in the back of the field. Contact between several cars and the No. 69 of Jeff Wright is sideways.
Lap 19 Second yellow is out
Lap 20 Still yellow. The Haddad Dodge Pace Car is taking them around.
Lap 21 Lights are out on the pace car
Lap 22 Green flag comes out.
Lap 23 Duncan continues to lead, Holtz continues to challenge and behind them Brian Branson challenges the No. 11 for the fourth place position.
Lap 26 yellow out for the No. 48. The No. 83 of Leslie Lipscomb and the No. 10 of Kristi Schmitt come into the pit.
Lap 27 -31 Yellow
Lap 32 Green Duncan and Holtz, but behind them it is the No. 2 of Branson, the No. 11 of DenHerder and the No. 0 of Loverock battling for position.
Lap 34 Les Den Herder spins entering four, yellow out; DenHerder is able to get it going again.
Lap 37 going green
Lap 38 Duncan, Holtz, Calderwood, Branson, and Aldrich.
Lap 39 Red comes out when the No. 73 of Lance Wilson spins. It appeared he was going to save it when the car got loose again and Kevin Small had no place to go and hit him broadside.
Lap 39 Going to yellow, track clean up continues. The clean up has put a lot of kitty litter out.
Lap 40 Hard battle for the lead Holtz takes the inside groove trying to take a sweep here tonight.
Lap 42 The No. 0 putting the pressure on the No. 26.
Lap 44 Running order Duncan, Holtz, Calderwood, Branson, Aldrich
Lap 46 Duncan pulling away form the challenge of Holtz
Lap 47 the battle behind the leaders is between the No. 0 of Loverock and the No.26 of Aldrich.
Lap 48 No change in the top 5, but the No. 0 would sure like that 5th place.
And it is Mike Duncan first across the stripe.
