DAYTONA BEACH, Florida -- Friendship Motor Speedway, located near Elkin, N.C., has re-signed with the ASA Racing Member Track Program for the upcoming 2005 season.
“Randy Myers and all the staff at Friendship Motor Speedway really try to go out of their way to ensure that the fans and teams at their facility are well taken care of,” said Dennis Huth, president of Racing Speed Associates which now owns and operates the ASA Racing Member Track program. “They really try to live up to the word ‘Friendship’ in the track’s name, and are an excellent example of how a weekly short track program should be managed.”
Friendship Motor Speedway is a true D-shaped oval with tight corners in Turns 1 and 4 which keeps the competition close and exciting. The track measures 0.40-miles and has 12 degree banking in the turns.
The Saturday night programs feature the Modifieds several times during the season as they have a very strong following in the North Carolina region. Alternating with the Modifieds during the year will be Late Model stock cars, and Late Model Super Trucks. New in 2005 is the addition of the Pure Stock division, as well as special events for vintage racers, Mini Cups, and a variety of special touring divisions.

Randy Myers is the track promoter, and president of Checkered Flag Promotions which owns Friendship Motor Speedway. He cited several benefits to becoming part of the ASA Racing Member Track program.
