Scott Leach of Zanesville, Ohio will be joining the ASA Late Model Series for the 2005 season. Scott and his team will be in the #02 car this season.

“It is great to see so many new teams participating in the series this year”, commented Ron Varney. “Scott seems to have the drive behind him to be very competitive this season.”

Scott began his racing career in go-karts at age 8. During his 8 years of racing Go-Karts, he earned over 400 feature wins, 8 Points Championships and was 2001 Junior Stock National Champion. In 2002, at age 16, Scott moved up and raced a part time schedule in the limited Sportsman class at Columbus Motor Speedway, in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series.

In only his second full season, he was the 2004 Limited Sportsman Points Champion, making him the youngest driver to ever win a championship at Columbus. Scott also placed 7th in NASCAR Heartland Region Short Track Division Standings for 2004.

In 2005, Scott looks to bring in enough sponsorship to race the complete ASA Late Model Series Schedule as a Rookie of the Year Contender.####
