Altamont Raceway opens and closes the Gold Rush region season for the Gold Rush region. Pairing the AllStar Race Trucks on the quarter mile with the SRL late models on the half mile for the Gold Rush region opening and closing dates will provide a great show for the fans and exposure for the AllStar racers. Madera Speedway dates allow us to draw trucks from Southern California that have previously competed under American Race Truck or West Coast Pro Truck sanctioned events. Races at the Champion Motor Speedway in Carson City NV will allow us to draw trucks from Idaho and Utah that competed last year with us and contributed to great racing.
Our intention this year is to race at tracks where teams will be able to travel to great tracks and destinations where they can combine our affordable style of touring racing with family and vacation opportunities. Our regional points fund supported by national sponsors Hoosier Tire, RaceSafe Systems, ATI, Comp Cams, Quick Fuel carburetors and the regional contingency and travel support sponsors will support our purse structure nicely. With the tight specifications we race this race truck under, this second Gold Rush region season will attract many current teams and give racers in other classes, whether up and comers or veterans, an affordable and competitive class to race in. New truck and competitive used trucks are available too.
Background: The Allstar Truck is a full-sized, V8 powered race truck built to compete on asphalt oval tracks. It is a high-quality, professionally engineered racing vehicle that offers maximum performance at an affordable price. Allstar Race Trucks feature fiberglass bodies that replicate Ford F150, Chevrolet Silverado and Dodge Ram Trucks. All are V-8 powered (Ford 302, Chevrolet 305, Dodge 318) with automatic transmissions. All ARTS trucks are currently manufactured to exact specifications to ensure that each chassis is identical, and each chassis has a serial number and a certificate of origin. For greater power without sacrificing reliability, all engines feature a spec-racing carburetor, intake manifold, camshaft, and tire. Allstar Race Trucks Series is its own sectioning body and has a national set of rules that apply to all ARTS events. The rules keep the cost in check and enhance driver skill and chassis set up ability.![]()
