RacingWest began by bringing driver bios, stats and results to the online user. Over time the public, through seeing our name, became familiar with the name RacingWest. People began associating the name RacingWest to the western motorsports it covers. Two years after the existence of RacingWest, a newspaper appeared on the scene. That newspaper has no relation to RacingWest though it started using a similar name, confusing several of our users.
A photographer friend of ours was approached by the man that started the newspaper. The man told him his paper was "the other RacingWest". With all the names out there he didn't need to be the other. He could have been something different. He still could be.
