MADERA, California -- Madera Speedway, located at the Madera District Fairgrounds announced a 19 race schedule for 2005. Local stock car classes at the Madera , California , one third mile paved oval will include Late Model Sportsman, Pure Stocks, Stock Toyota Sedans, and Hornets. These will alternate with Open Wheel classes including CASA Sprint Cars, 360 Supermodifieds, Spec Motor Modifieds, and Modified Stock Toyotas. Traveling Series that will visit Madera in 2005 include the Supermodified Racing League's Supermodified Division, the SRL's Late Model Stock Car Division, All Star Trucks, Legends, Pro-Four Late Models, and the Bay Cities Racing Association Midgets.
There will be five Saturday Night Thunder shows featuring the local open wheel classes plus two special Open Wheel shows. The Annual Vukovich Memorial show on May 14 will feature Supermodified Racing League's wildly offset winged roadsters in a 40 lap feature plus the 360 Supermodifieds, Spec Motor Modifieds, and the Stock Toyota Modifieds. The late summer Harvest Classic on August 20, will spotlight the SRL Supermodifieds, the BCRA Midgets, the All Star Trucks plus the 360 Supermods, Spec Motor Modifieds, Stock Toyota Modifieds, and a Vintage Midget and Supermodified Show.
The Madera Late Model Series will feature the local stock car classes for ten dates between March and October. Two special Stock Car shows will be presented on April 30, and July 16. April's Smokey Hanoian Classic will feature the SRL Late Models in a 100 lap feature plus the Madera Late Model Sportsman, Pure Stocks, Toyota Sedans, and Hornets. The annual Iron Man 100 will pit the Madera Late Model Sportsman in a 100 lap main event plus races for Pure Stocks, Toyota Sedans, Hornets, and an extra date for the 360 Supermodifieds.
W & C Promotions Official, Rick Cameron advised that three of the four Special Events will have an open practice and Barbeque / Autograph session on the Friday evening preceding the Feature Events. There will also be a Special Car Show at the Manchester Shopping Mall in Fresno , California , from March 1 through March 6 featuring the cars and stars of Madera Speedway.
