NOTES:
- This week's race truck for Gateway International Raceway is Chassis No. 5-30. The No. 5 Bill Davis Racing team will take the same truck that it won the pole with at California Speedway and finished ninth with at Martinsville Speedway three weeks ago.
- Double Duty… Mike Skinner will be busy this weekend. Not only will he participate in Saturday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, he will also be driving the No.23 Bad Boy Mowers Dodge in the Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday. This will be Skinner's second NASCAR Nextel Cup start in 2005.
- Is this thing on?... Mike Skinner will speak to a group of employees at the Pell City, Ala., division of Andritz, Inc. on Tuesday, April 26. He will discuss his racing career and how teamwork is critical to the success of a racing organization.
- Listen and watch … The Ram Tough 200 is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EDT Friday, April 30. It will broadcast live on Speed (TV), MRN (radio) and XM Radio.

“Gateway is going to be interesting with NASCAR's new gear rule because we're not going to be able to shift anymore. It is going to be a challenge for the engine builders. I'm sure our folks at TRD are working on a combination already to compensate and pull that thing up off of the corner, with that tall gear in it at places where we used to shift, but still be able to take the RPM at the other end. So, hopefully, it is gong to be a good race. I ran awfully well there last year.
