Kerry Earnhardt will pilot chassis No. 126, the same car he attempted to qualify for the Daytona 500 in February.
Been there, done that … At the spring 2004 race at Talladega Superspeedway, Earnhardt was running in the top 10 before an accident took him out of the race.
Testing 1, 2, 3 … Earnhardt tested at Talladega Superspeedway on April 18-19 with NASCAR Busch Series driver and teammate Brandon Miller.
Meet the Driver … Earnhardt will sign autographs at the Wal-Mart in Oxford , Ala. , on Friday, April 29 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Wal-Mart is located on 92 Plaza Lane .
Up to Speed … The Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway will be televised live Sunday, May 1 beginning at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on FOX and be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and XM Satellite Radio . Qualifying for the ninth of 36 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series events will air live on SPEED Friday, April 29 at 3:10 p.m. EDT and will also be broadcast live on MRN and XM Satellite Radio .
Kerry Earnhardt on returning to Talladega :
“I am really excited to race again at Talladega . We were running really good there last spring until a wreck took me out of the race. I love racing at Talladega because of the speed and the different lines you can run.
